WASHINGTON, D.C. (Feb. 25, 2010) – GMAC Financial Services Chief Executive Officer Michael A. Carpenter and Chief Financial Officer Robert Hull were asked to participate in a Congressional Oversight Panel hearing today regarding the U.S. government's assistance to GMAC under the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).  The hearing encompassed perspectives on GMAC's business and its role in the auto industry, the U.S. Treasury's investment in the company, and GMAC's strategic initiatives and plans to repay the TARP investment.
